Spiritual Formation: Day 20

The next spiritual discipline or soul-training exercise I'd like for us to consider is meditation.

But today I'm not feeling up to writing. I feel empty myself. So I'll just share with you this passage; perhaps meditating upon it will bless both you and me today.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

  1. I know how you feel. Some days I just don't feel like writing. In fact, I have had quite a few of those lately. I hope you are feeling better soon. I love the scripture choice for meditation. I am waiting on the Lord for some guidance right now. Pray for me as I seek Him. Carla

  2. I have been in a bit of a "slump" this week myself. Sometimes wonder if it's the Lord just telling me to slow down and just BE.

My 3 year old...who is just NOW talking after not saying a word...came home from her little class while I'm at Bible Study saying THIS very verse. I could hardly stand it! Going from not saying much at all to reciting His Word! Priceless.

    Blessings,
    Amanda

  3. Amen, amen! Had a terrible day today....I needed to read that verse. Isn't it funny that no matter how many times I've read it, I forget to DO it. ;)

  5. Oh, Richella, I know how you feel, but please remember how much you bless others - your listening ear, your kind words, your sweet smile. Your body and, perhaps, spirit may be weary, but there are many who support you, just as our Lord does for us. As the twins sang in the car on the way to preschool this morning, "It's a great day, Praise the Lord!" Listening to their joyous voices raised in song, I had to smile; I hope it brings one to your face. Be well, dear friend.

  6. Just had a God wink moment Richella. I had just finished participating in today's Love Bomb and was on the summary page where I saw your name-I didn't know you were a fellow Love Bomber!(I've been following you for over a year). I decided to check in on your blog and couldn't believe it when I saw your post with my favourite Bible quote-the very one I had just mentioned in the Love Bomb. I love this quote and know it will see you through. You'll be in my prayers today Richella. Love , Angie.
