Grace at Home No. 480

Hello, friends! I hope your late summer days and nights have included much beauty and goodness. Here's a little glimpse of one of our evenings this week (I promise this photo is straight out of the camera; no filter!).

I have to admit that my mind automatically thought, "Red sky at night; sailor's delight." We're in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mountains here, so I don't know if any sailors benefited from our gorgeous red sky, but I sure love to soak up God's artistry!

I am glad to welcome you to this week's Grace at Home party, where we celebrate all the ways we make our homes places of grace. Here are some highlights from last week's party.

Want to jazz up your cooking or create a fun little gift for a friend? Patti from Pandora's Box shows you how to create herbal vinegars.

Does this busy season leave you with only small snatches of time in which to get things done? Julie from Filling the Jars gives some good advice for ways to be productive in just one hour.

Grace at Home No. 478

Hello, friends! Boy, am I glad to greet you today from the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, where it's about 15 degrees cooler than in my home of Durham, North Carolina. And the views! The clouds! The sunsets!

I snapped this photo from my deck on Tuesday evening. There's just something about being in the mountains that's good for my soul. Do you have a favorite soul-refreshing spot?

Meanwhile, y'all have been busy making your homes places of grace and beauty, and I'm so glad to celebrate you here at the Grace at Home party. Here are some highlights from last week's linkup.

If you're still in the thick of summertime living, you'll enjoy seeing how Sarah from Must Have Mom made her patio a beautiful living space.

If summertime is really your jam and you crave a coastal vibe, you'll love seeing how Meagan from Decorative Inspirations remodeled a beach rental property on a dime. Lots of inexpensive but pretty ideas!

If you're ready to turn your attention to Autumn, you'll love these tiny twine pumpkins, and Beth from Creatively Beth gives you step-by-step instructions to make them in just a few minutes!

Speaking of back-to-school, do you need some help in the breakfast department for busy school days? Melissa from Everyday Savvy shares a sausage-cheese muffin recipe that you can make ahead and freeze.

This fall I am determined to finally conquer paper clutter in my home. No small task for me, I must say. . . but Julie from Filling the Jars has some real help for me.

Do you need some encouragement for using your gifts? This post from Jerralea will feed your soul and inspire you.

Grace at Home No. 477

Friends, it's August! The dog days of summer are officially here, aren't they?

And yet, even as we're at this very hot time of year, kids are starting back to some of the schools in this area. So we make it through the hot days, and look forward to the cooler days of autumn.

I'm so glad to welcome you to the Grace at Home party, where we celebrate all the ways we make our homes places of grace. Here are a few features from last week's party.

Have an old dresser that needs to be updated? Here's some inspiration from Angela at Simply Beautiful by Angela.

Are you trying to savor these last days of summer? Maybe you'd like to plan a family movie night (or nights)! Benjamin and Charlene from Hess Un-Academy share 100 family movies that won't drive adults crazy.

Looking for a quick dinner idea for a busy day? Kristy from Air Fryer Fanatics can help with this recipe for Shrimp Tacos.

Do you have an abundance of basil in your garden or your patio pots right now? I do, so I was glad to get this recipe for Fresh Basil Oil from Mary at Pots and Planes.

Last but not least, Michele Morin from Living Our Days shares some wisdom and a challenge for those of us who worship with a local church congregation.
