Grace at Home No. 478

Hello, friends! Boy, am I glad to greet you today from the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, where it's about 15 degrees cooler than in my home of Durham, North Carolina. And the views! The clouds! The sunsets!

I snapped this photo from my deck on Tuesday evening. There's just something about being in the mountains that's good for my soul. Do you have a favorite soul-refreshing spot?

Meanwhile, y'all have been busy making your homes places of grace and beauty, and I'm so glad to celebrate you here at the Grace at Home party. Here are some highlights from last week's linkup.

If you're still in the thick of summertime living, you'll enjoy seeing how Sarah from Must Have Mom made her patio a beautiful living space.

If summertime is really your jam and you crave a coastal vibe, you'll love seeing how Meagan from Decorative Inspirations remodeled a beach rental property on a dime. Lots of inexpensive but pretty ideas!

If you're ready to turn your attention to Autumn, you'll love these tiny twine pumpkins, and Beth from Creatively Beth gives you step-by-step instructions to make them in just a few minutes!

Speaking of back-to-school, do you need some help in the breakfast department for busy school days? Melissa from Everyday Savvy shares a sausage-cheese muffin recipe that you can make ahead and freeze.

This fall I am determined to finally conquer paper clutter in my home. No small task for me, I must say. . . but Julie from Filling the Jars has some real help for me.

Do you need some encouragement for using your gifts? This post from Jerralea will feed your soul and inspire you.

Thank you to everyone who linked up! Now for today's party.

Here at the Grace at Home party, you can link up any post you've written that demonstrates how you're filling your space with truth, goodness, and beauty. I invite you to link posts about
  • DIY projects
  • decorating
  • recipes
  • hospitality
  • homemaking tips
  • parenting
  • marriage
  • faith
  • self-care
  • soul care
Whatever you do to make your home or sphere of influence a place of grace, I'd like to hear about it. Here's what I ask of you.  Please include the permalink to your post, not your blog's home page. Please let people know that you've linked up.  No more than three posts per person, please.  Note that if you link a post here, you are giving me permission to share your post, including a photo.  And visit at least one of the other party participants--that's what really makes it a party!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  1. Richella, that is a gorgeous view. We returned a couple of weeks ago from 5000 feet up high in the Smoky Mountains. We love the mountains. Thanks for hosting and have a beautiful and relaxing time away where the air is cooler!

  2. Richella, how wonderful that you were able to get away and refresh your soul! We just came back from our first ever Alaskan cruise and the scenery was breathtaking. We hope to do it again one day. But we enjoy getting away to a little mountain town near us, as well. God has made a world with so many beautiful things to refresh and amaze us.

  3. I've been awhile since I've been to the mountains. My soul automatically wants to go to the beach. But the mountains are equally as wonderful and I need not forget them! Thanks for the reminder this morning. :) And I do love Sarah's sitting space. What a beautiful patio she has!

  4. Richella, I had to let you know that we are flying to Charlotte on Saturday and then driving to Blowing Rock to spend a few days with friends who live there 6 months of the year. Not sure how far that is from Durham. We've never been to the mountains of NC and are so excited. Looking forward to much cooler weather!

  6. What a gorgeous view in your top photo! I could stand to be somewhere 15 degrees cooler today. I'm looking forward to checking out some of the featured links a little later. I'm in housecleaning mode preparing for my oldest son's visit.
