Weekend fun

It's the first day of spring, and in Durham, North Carolina, it's sunny and 76 degrees.

Be still, my heart.

In case you missed it, I wanted to show you a little project I completed this week. I embellished a towel for my new powder room. . . with just a few minutes and no money. I love the way it turned out:

I give the extremely easy step-by-step directions in this guest post I wrote for Amanda at Imperfectly Beautiful. Click here to read the post. . . or here if you want to go to Amanda's home page. She's hosting a giveaway this weekend.

Now here's a little springtime riddle for you. Do you recognize these lyrics?

Welcome, sweet springtime, we greet thee in song;

Murmurs of gladness fall on the ear--

Voices, long hushed, now their full notes prolong,

Echoing far and near. . .

Can you name that tune?

So that's where our Spring weather went! It's cold and windy here today.
Love the towel and will hop on over to your link. I don't know the song at all I'm afraid.

That must be a "modern" song. I don't know it but can't wait to find out what it is.
love the towel..

I'm off to see that tutorial! And we have had gorgeous spring time weather for the past two or three days...tomorrow a cold front brings the chance for sleet and snow. Wha...?

Oh my. 76 degrees? That would be heaven on earth :-) Should be 50 here today which isn't SO bad for Minnesota. Your towel turned out cute!

Also wanting to know what that beautiful bud is. We have some of these blooming in our neighborhood and they are stunning! Blessings!

For those of you who are interested, that bud is on a deciduous magnolia tree, sometimes called a "Jane magnolia." Lovely, isn't it?
