Grace at Home No. 486

Hello, friends! You all have probably heard these words from L.M. Montgomery: "I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers." Fictional heroine Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables uttered those words, and they're just right for Anne, who lives in the village of Avonlea on Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Well, I'll tell you what. Here in North Carolina, I'm glad I live in a world where there are Novembers! I snapped this photo as I was walking the dog a couple of days ago:

Fall in North Carolina

Our trees are gaining their brilliant Autumn colors and leaves are beginning to fall, and we're grateful to finally be past the hot temperatures of summer. What's it like in your neck of the woods?

Thank you so much for all your kind comments about my husband. We're so thankful that he's home and seems to be doing well, gaining strength day by day.

Now I'm glad to welcome you to the Grace at Home party, where we celebrate all the ways we make our homes places o grace and beauty. Here are some features from last week's party.

Are you enjoying having your home decorated for Fall, or do you still need some design ideas? Meagan from Decorative Inspirations can help.

Or are you looking ahead to getting things decorated for the Christmas season? If so, you'll love visiting with Kristin of White Arrows Home.

Need to declutter your home before hosting guests for Thanksgiving, but don't have much time? Alison from Organized Motherhood can help you get started.

Do you plan to host Thanksgiving dinner but don't have a big group to feed? You can still make it fun and festive, and Marty from A Stroll Thru Life will show you how.

Thank you to everyone who linked up! I'm so thankful for your presence here.

Here at the Grace at Home party, you can link up any post you've written that demonstrates how you're filling your space with truth, goodness, and beauty. I invite you to link posts about
  • DIY projects
  • decorating
  • recipes
  • hospitality
  • homemaking tips
  • parenting
  • marriage
  • faith
  • self-care
  • soul care
Whatever you do to make your home or sphere of influence a place of grace, I'd like to hear about it. Here's what I ask of you.  Please include the permalink to your post, not your blog's home page. Please let people know that you've linked up.  No more than three posts per person, please.  Note that if you link a post here, you are giving me permission to share your post, including a photo.  And visit at least one of the other party participants--that's what really makes it a party!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  1. Thank you bunches for hosting this wonderful community.

  2. We're a little past peak color here, but there's still a feast for the eyes outside. I'm so glad the autumn color has lasted a long time this year. And I am so thankful your husband is doing better.

  3. I love that quote - need to work on being patient with myself! That pumpkin bread looks delicious! Thank you for putting this together every week. I appreciate the feature - so many fun National Park gift ideas!

  4. oh ... all kinds of fun links to explore! thanks, Richella!

  5. Thanks so much for the feature. You made my day.

  6. Richella, I'm glad to read your husband is doing well at home and regaining his strength. Yes, I love November - this one, anyway. All the hustle of October is over, and though our leaves are past peak, it feels good to have the landscape tucked in for winter. I recapped our first year with a before and after look. Enjoy those glorious leaves, and thank you for hosting us.

  7. So thankful that your husband is continuing to get stronger! I pray that November seems boring compared to your past few weeks. :) Thanks for sharing my link about being patient with impatience; it's a lesson I have to remind myself of often.

  8. So glad your hubby is home and doing well. We hit peak leaf peeping early this year, but still some pretty trees to be seen. Thanks so much for having us over!

  9. It's Spring here in Australia & all the Jacaranda trees are coming into flower with their beautiful lilac hues. Just breathtaking against the green background of the surrounding bush.
Great to hear your hubby is doing well. 😊
    Blessings, Jennifer

  10. Richella, Thank your for featuring my Fall home tour. I am just below you in South Carolina and our trees are also starting to turn and its so beautiful! Loving this November weather we are having. Thanks for hosting and have a wonderful week.-Meagan
