Grace at Home: Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Just like that, 2022 is part of the history books. What a year!

2022 was one of the most challenging years I've ever lived. In some ways the year ended up with a bang. First of all, all my kids were here for Christmas—and my grandson! Having an almost-2-year-old in the house is enough to spread a lot of Christmas cheer.

Unfortunately, though, the end up of the year brought viruses with it. I got sick on December 26 and spent most of the next week in bed. I finally saw my doctor, who tested me for strep, flu, and Covid. Those tests were all negative; apparently I just have one of the hundreds of other viruses that cause upper respiratory infections. I'm still struggling with a nagging cough. Ugh!

But even with all the challenges, I'm still here. We've faced so many challenges the past few months, but my precious family members are still alive. My son will be having surgery next week; I appreciate your prayers for him.

How about you? I pray that your holidays were full of love and goodness. And I'm so glad you're here for the Grace at Home party, where we pause to celebrate all the ways we make our homes places of grace and beauty.

Here at the Grace at Home party, you can link up any post you've written that demonstrates how you're filling your space with truth, goodness, and beauty. I invite you to link posts about
  • DIY projects
  • decorating
  • recipes
  • hospitality
  • homemaking tips
  • parenting
  • marriage
  • faith
  • self-care
  • soul care
Whatever you do to make your home or sphere of influence a place of grace, I'd like to hear about it. Here's what I ask of you.  Please include the permalink to your post, not your blog's home page. Please let people know that you've linked up.  No more than three posts per person, please.  Note that if you link a post here, you are giving me permission to share your post, including a photo.  And visit at least one of the other party participants--that's what really makes it a party!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  1. I'm so sorry about the viruses! I hope your cough goes away soon. My grandson tested positive for Covid before Christmas, but thankfully his fever broke and he had been isolated enough according to the current protocols to be able to have Christmas as planned.
