Grace at Home No. 318

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here for today's Grace at Home party, where we celebrate all the ways we make our homes places of grace.

I'm delighted to report to you that Autumn FINALLY arrived in North Carolina! It had started to seem as though we were going to be stuck with endless summer, but it's finally cooling down. So now we're getting down to the business of cleaning up after the remnants of Hurricane Michael blew through here last week.

Here are some links from last week's party I thought you'd enjoy.

Rita from Panoply showed us how she decorated her outdoor spaces for Fall. So pretty!

Laura from Decor to Adore showed us how to create wonderful centerpieces for a Scout ceremony. Her son just became an Eagle Scout, but these would be wonderful for any Boy Scout gathering, and many of her ideas could be adapted for Girl Scouts.

I love to collect household tips and tricks, and Chas from Chas' Crazy Creations shared some brilliant tricks for using WD-40. Who knew all the things you could use it for?

I've been looking for some new ideas for dinnertime, so I was delighted to get this recipe for Egyptian lamb chops from Jas at All That's Jas. Don't these look delicious?

As for me, I learned a hard lesson during Hurricane Michael. I wrote about it here, and I'd very much like to know what you think. Please click over and take a look!

A big thank you to everyone who joined last week's party!  I'm so grateful for each person who links up. If you've been featured, feel free to grab the "I was featured" button.  I'd be delighted if you'd like to  display it.

Whatever you do to make your home a place of grace, I'd like to hear about it.  Here's what I ask of you.  Please include the permalink to your post, not your blog's home page.  Please let people know that you've linked up.  No more than three posts per person, please.  Note that if you link a post here, you are giving me permission to share your post, including a photo.  And visit at least one of the other party participants--that's what really makes it a party!

  1. I had to check out that WD-40 post first thing. Who knew?! Thanks for hosting, Richella. We are glad fall finally seems to have arrived here in Texas, too!

  2. Hi Richella thank you so very much for the sweet feature. I had read your post on comparison and it was amazing! I too believe that it is absolutely ok to have feelings. But we must not dwell on them. We must move forward and try to find the rainbow.

  3. So sorry about the cancellation of your trip. I'm hoping you can find the blessing behind the disappointment, but thanks for your honesty.

  4. Richella,
Thanks so much for hosting this lovely party!!

  5. I'm checking out that WD-40 post! Intriguing! Thanks for hosting, and I'm linking up those velvet pumpkins! Have a blessed week!

  6. Thank so much for the feature, and Pin. I truly appreciate it and you hosting a wonderful place for all of us to share our creations. Have a great weekend!

  7. Thank you so much for hosting, have a wonderful weekend!

  8. Good afternoon, Richella, and thank you so much for the feature of my outdoor spaces. I've been putting in some hours outside with this wonderful fall weather, slowly putting the garden to bed (2 days with sunshine, cool temps and no rain, woohoo!). I did read your post on how we make comparisons - a thoughtful read - relating all too well to those feelings of guilt that come with that comparing our situation to others'. Seeking inner peace through prayer and knowing there is ultimately divine order to all things helps me rest my anxious mind. Thank you for hosting us, and i hope your weekend is full of fall splendor.

  9. Oh my goodness dear friend, what a disappointment on your trip cancellation ! God knows best, the why and the why not.
Thank you so much for sharing all with us.
Thank you for hosting one of my fav parties I so look forward to joining, such a lovely hostess.

  10. Hi Richella! I'm happy to have found my way here to the party. I'll be following along on Pinterest.
On a separate note, I'm sorry you had to endure the storm. I live in Houston, so I've been there, done that! Best wishes on getting back to normal!

  11. Thank you so much for hosting. I brought my favorite sponge cake muffins. Have a great weekend.

  12. Oh, Richella, thank you for the honor! It's so humbling to see your post being featured. Thank you so much! Many blessings. :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment! I read every one; they make my day. If you have a specific question, please be sure your email address is attached to your profile or leave your email address in the comment; I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Every blessing!
