Grace at Home No. 414

Friends, we're almost to the end of February!

I'm usually wishing that I could slow down and stretch out the days a little longer. But this winter has been a hard one, hasn't it? I think a lot of us will be glad to get to the end of February this year.

In the meantime, though, many of us are trying to make our homes places of grace and beauty, and I am so glad to celebrate that fact here at the Grace at Home party. Here are some highlights from last week's party I think you'll enjoy.

Angela from Simply Beautiful by Angela demonstrated the huge difference a board and batten treatment can make in a room. You should click over to see the "before" pictures and to see every view of the completed space.

Of course, big changes like adding board and batten may be few and far between, but you can brighten up your home in small ways. Pam from Everyday Living shows how grocery store flowers can add some much-needed brightness this time of year—what she calls "winter flower therapy."

For a different kind of brightening touch, Julie from My Wee Abode shows you how to create a succulent wreath—a 10-minute DIY project!

If you need a little motivation as we approach the season for Spring cleaning, you'll appreciate this post from Julie at Filling the Jars.

I often have to deal with temporary muscle aches, so I was glad to see this detailed tutorial for making a heating pad from Helen at Hello Sewing.

At this time of year—especially as the pandemic goes on and on—tempers can flare easily, and we may find that we need to live with someone who is especially difficult to love. Dr. Michelle Bengtson from Hope Prevails offers some excellent advice.

Last but not least, I heartily recommend this post from Rebecca Hastings to learn some simple ways to love yourself as God loves you.

Thank you to everyone who linked up!

Now for today's party.  Here at the Grace at Home party, you can link up any post you've written that demonstrates how you're filling your own home with truth, goodness, and beauty. I invite you to link posts about
  • DIY projects
  • decorating
  • recipes
  • hospitality
  • homemaking tips
  • parenting
  • marriage
  • faith
  • self-care
  • soul care
Whatever you do to make your home a place of grace, I'd like to hear about it.  Here's what I ask of you.  Please include the permalink to your post, not your blog's home page.  Please let people know that you've linked up.  No more than three posts per person, please.  Note that if you link a post here, you are giving me permission to share your post, including a photo.  And visit at least one of the other party participants--that's what really makes it a party, and during these difficult times, it can really make someone's day!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!
