Learning the right lesson

Once again

I fall to my knees

with the same old request

"Please, God, rescue me

I'm being burned alive"

He rescues

As He always does

But this time, He also speaks:

"Child, I want to help you learn

how to stop

playing

with

matches"

  2. I suppose it nearly always begins with striking a match or pouring on the kerosene or knocking over the candle. Sometimes we start our suffering but aren't there times when the fires just spread to include us?

Anyway it happens God hears our call. Always. Thanks be to God.

  4. Amen, sister. Praying that the matches will not be enticing anymore. Please pray the same for me. :-) Blessings, friend ~

  6. Sometimes for me the matches are so innocent looking...a TV show that isn't a BAD TV show, just a distraction, for example. Thanks for a beautiful reminder.
