Coming home

Last August, my oldest son left home.

Even though I was so proud of him and so glad he was going, one of the hardest things I've ever done was to send Will off to the foreign mission field.  Jack snapped this photo of me and Will at the airport just before Will left.  I'm valiantly holding back the tears.

Will has been serving in East Asia for many months.  I was privileged to visit him in Asia this March.

But his father and brothers haven't seen him since August 2013.

I took this photo of Jack taking pictures of all three boys last August.  What a blessed woman I am to have four wonderful men to love and care for!

Lots of red hair in one family, huh?

Tonight, Lord willing, Will will be home.  We're so excited we can hardly stand it.

Would you join me in praying for his safe travel?

I've been praying for Will since he left last summer. :) I also sent up a few more prayers for safe travels when I saw your post on IG this morning. I know you're so happy that he's finally coming home. Can't wait to hear about your reunion! This will be a very special 4th of July for your family. :) Blessings to you all!

I hope that he is at home by now. I have been in a very similar situation and I know how thrilled you will be to give your son a big hug tonight!!

My daughter has traveled to SE Asia, Russia and Australia on missions trips. I know how hard it is to see them go,but knowing the purpose behind their trips, makes it a little bit easier. That and having Skype. Enjoy your son's return.

I just now had the chance to read this, but I surely trust your dear boy made it safely home. What a blessing to know that his reason for being gone was to serve our Lord and spread His Gospel! You have a lovely family, and yes, God has abundantly blessed you with wonderful men to care for! He has blessed me so richly, also. He sent my dear husband and me one, sweet boy after 12 1/2 years of infertility struggles. He blesses our lives and home SO much every, single day. I am SO thankful to God for all He has given me. God bless you!

Love your boys' red hair! I have red hair. No children yet (ttc - ivf) but hoping I pass it on!
