Grace at Home No. 373

How are you doing, friends? My husband and I have been on lockdown here since March 13--earlier than most people here because he traveled internationally and had to self-quarantine for 14 days. . . and as soon as that lifted, North Carolina entered a stay-at-home period. Honestly, as much as I hate to see what's happening in the economy, it looks to me as if we all need to stay at home right now.

Strange times, right?

Yet so many people are finding creative ways to cope with these times, so I'm glad to host this Grace at Home party, where we celebrate all the ways we make our homes places of grace. Here are a few highlights from last week's party.

Want to freshen up your house for spring? You may well  have to do it with what you have on hand, right? Shelley at Calypso in the Country provides some great inspiration with her spring mantel.

Easter is around the corner.  Need a fun Easter craft using what's in your home? Check out this handkerchief bunnies from Lisa at Fresh Vintage!

If you're one of the many parents who've found themselves thrust into homeschooling, you might need this huge list of free homeschooling resources and websites from Joy at Artful Homemaking.

Need a fun, cheap craft to do with your kids? Check out these ideas using toilet paper rolls from Sarah at Must-Have Mom.

I for one am going to be doing some big-time spring cleaning in the next couple of weeks, so I was glad to get this cleaning checklist from Lisa at Condo Blues.

I'm trying to stay at home 24/7, but I do have to go out occasionally to get groceries, so I was glad to get this DIY face mask pattern from Kristi at French Creek Farmhouse.

We're all dealing with a great deal of uncertainty right now, and the truth is that many of us will soon be dealing with great grief. So I was really grateful to read this post about staying in the now from Leslie at Gwen Moss, who has had to learn the hard way to deal with grief.

Thank you to everyone who joined last week's link-up!

Now for today's party! Here at the Grace at Home party, I invite you to link posts about
  • DIY projects
  • decorating
  • recipes
  • hospitality
  • homemaking tips
  • parenting
  • marriage
  • faith
  • self-care
  • soul care
Whatever you do to make your home a place of grace, I'd like to hear about it.  Here's what I ask of you.  Please include the permalink to your post, not your blog's home page.  Please let people know that you've linked up.  No more than three posts per person, please.  Note that if you link a post here, you are giving me permission to share your post, including a photo.  And visit at least one of the other party participants--that's what really makes it a party, and during these days of social distancing, it can really make someone's day!

  1. Good morning Richella. Thank you so much for the opportunity to share God’s beauty and grace in our lives. Stay healthy !

  2. We, too, were on lockdown earlier due to international travel my husband did. That was about the time school was closed but we are falling into our new "norma" and feel closer than ever as a family. I find these link parties are uplifting and inspirational, bringing a bit of fun to my day. Thanks for hosting and stay safe!

  3. Good morning! Very quiet here on the home front. But we have gotten so much done with the extra time available. Take care and thank you for hosting.

  4. Richella,
Thanks so much for hosting and giving us all a much needed distraction! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!

  5. Thanks so much for featuring my mantel post! I really appreciate it and seeing this brightened my day! I agree that we all just need to stay home. I think all this social distancing is so important and the sooner everyone takes it seriously, the sooner we can get back to regular life. Thanks again and stay well!

  6. Richella. I saw your message first thing this morning and it made me smile. I do feel your compassion across the miles. Thank you for sharing my post with your readers, it does make me feel good to think that someone might be helped by my experience. Take care of yourself and your family dear Richella. I'm keeping you all in my prayers.
    much love

  7. Richella
Thank you so much for hosting. It has been so comforting to be able to spend our time together. I appreciate you sharing my hankie bunnies.
    Take care, xo Lisa S

  8. Thank you for hosting for us and making us happy and distracted at this trying times.
May God bless us and keep praying for the world.
    Keep safe my friend.

  9. Strange times indeed!
I'm cooking a lot of comfort food for the gang and getting ahead on some long neglected projects here at home. Trying to make the most of it!

  10. Thank you for continuing to host during these trying times! Thanks also for sharing my post on free homeschooling resources. Blessings!

  11. Wow, you are going to be on #stayhome for a bit longer than the rest of us. How are you doing, Richella? Easter will look a bit different for me, as it's just me in My Wee Abode, and this will be the first time ever I have celebrated a holiday by myself. Thankful my kids have their wee fams and will not be alone. All of these are small things compared to what is happening in the world. So glad we have a God to rest in!

  12. Richella, we have been social distancing since Mar 13. It seems the longer it takes people to comply, the longer this will drag out for all of us. We're only as strong as the weakest link. Praying for our world. Take care.

  13. So many helpful features this week, Richella, thank you! It's definitely a strange time but I know we'll all rise to the challenge. Sending you hugs and hoping you and your family stay safe and well, CoCo
