Grace at Home No. 428

Wow, friends--has your summer been as busy as mine??

I'm wondering if perhaps I had adjusted to a slower pace of life during the months of lockdown. . . and now that things are pretty much open, I feel as though I'm running ragged. Has that happened to you, too?

All the same, I'm grateful to welcome you here for this week's Grace at Home party, where we pause to celebrate all the ways we make our homes places of grace and beauty. Here are some highlights from last week's party.

Looking for some ideas for adding patriotic decor to your home this summer? Then you're in for a treat from Kristin at White Arrows Home.

If summertime in your neck of the woods means lots of bugs (like it does for me!), you'll be glad to get these ideas for repelling insects from Carol at Comfort Spring.

Are you planning to host some gatherings this summer (thanking God that you can gather with people again)?? If so, you'll be glad to get recipes for lots of summertime mocktails from Lazy Budget Chef.

Need a new dinner recipe? I always like learning new ways to prepare chicken, so I was glad to get this chicken piccata recipe from Lynne at Thifting Wonderland.

Have you ever tried praying the words of scripture? I've found it to be a huge help, and I appreciated this post from Lauren at LaurenSparks.net.

Last but certainly not least, a sobering but very important read from Lisa at Lisa Notes on Seeing God: "When History Makes You Sick." I urge you to click through and read every word.

Thank you to everyone who linked up!

Now for today's party.  Here at the Grace at Home party, you can link up any post you've written that demonstrates how you're filling your own home with truth, goodness, and beauty. I invite you to link posts about
  • DIY projects
  • decorating
  • recipes
  • hospitality
  • homemaking tips
  • parenting
  • marriage
  • faith
  • self-care
  • soul care
Whatever you do to make your home a place of grace, I'd like to hear about it.  Here's what I ask of you.  Please include the permalink to your post, not your blog's home page.  Please let people know that you've linked up.  No more than three posts per person, please.  Note that if you link a post here, you are giving me permission to share your post, including a photo.  And visit at least one of the other party participants--that's what really makes it a party!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  1. Yes, I've noticed that the pace of life seems fast for me now, too. I liked the slower pace of the past 18 months, but not the reason for it, of course. ;) I am trying to include a little more margin in my weeks, though, because I don't want to go back to feeling too busy. Thanks for sharing my post this week! Appreciate you hosting us, Richella.

  3. I realized yesterday that some of the flurry I am feeling this summer is splashing over on me from my busy son who is in the midst of wedding plans, moving, college prep, etc. Phew...
Just gotta breathe and focus on the things that are mine to do!

  8. We've got some busy days at points during the summer, but, thankfully, some quiet times in-between. At least, that's the plan. :-)

I will check out the insect-repellent post. When my grandson was little, I searched for some nontoxic ways to repel bugs in the house. I found that bay leaves work well for repelling ants. They wouldn't be good for kids, but they're in the upper cabinets out of reach.

  9. Thanks so much for hosting each week Richella! Yes, I'm feeling it too and I'm struggling to keep up. I don't know if it's the quiet of last year or just that I'm getting older! Thanks again and have a great weekend ahead.

  12. Yep, that pendulum can swing backward way too quickly. I've been thinking about writing a post on this exact subject. Thanks for the nudge to consider how we're all responding to this renewed sense of freedom, friend ...

  16. Its a great pleasure for me to write this testimony about how i got my Genital Herpes cured a month ago. i have been reading so many comments of some people who were cured from various diseases by Dr Aza but i never believed them. I was hurt and depressed so I was too curious and wanted to try DR. Aza then i contacted him through his email, he assured me 100% that he will heal me, i pleaded with him to help me out. My experience with him was great, he healed me just as he promised. he sent me his medication and ask me to go for a medical check up after two weeks of usage. i agreed with him i took this medication and went for a check up, to my greatest surprise my result was negative, i am really happy that i am cured and healthy again. I have waited for 3weeks to be very sure i was completely healed before writing this testimony. I did another blood test one week ago and it was still Herpes negative. so i guess its time i recommend anyone going through the same way. reach him through his email address: drazaherbalcenter@gmail.com OR call, add him on Whatsapp +1(315) 795 1518 you can also visite his website at;www.drazaherbalcenter.com

  17. I'm so excited my broken Marriage has been restored and my husband is back after he left me and our 2 kids for another woman. After 8 years of marriage, me and my husband have been into one quarrel or the other until he finally left me and moved to be with another woman. I felt my life was over and my kids thought they would never see their father again. I tried to be strong just for the kids but I could not control the pains that tormented my heart, my heart was filled with sorrows and pains because I was really in love with my husband. Every day and night I think of him and always wish he would come back to me, I was really upset and I needed help, so I searched for help online and I came across a website that suggested that Dr Oniha can help get ex back fast. So, I felt I should give him a try. I contacted him and he told me what to do and I did it, then he did a (Love spell) for me. 48 hours later, my husband really called me and told me that he misses me and the kids so much, So Amazing!! So that was how he came back that same day, with lots of love and joy, and he apologized for his mistake, and for the pain he caused me and the kids. Then from that day, our Marriage was now stronger than how it was before, All thanks to Dr Oniha.I will continue to tell everyone about how your spell works Dr Oniha because you are a God sent to me. You can also contact him if you need help to solve your problem, he will be of help to you.
