Grace at Home No. 123

Welcome to the Grace at Home party!  Here we pause to give thanks to God for His grace and to celebrate the ways we make our homes a reflection of that grace.

Here are some highlights from last week's party:

Paula at Sweet Pea created a beautiful fall wreath and gives step-by-step instructions for making your own:

Lauren from Bless'er House explained how she decorates her home for very little money.  Lots of great ideas!

Dining Delight shared lots of wonderful tips for setting a table for a large group.

Nicole from Mama to 5 Blessings shared how she makes "busy bags" for her kids.  Genius!

Sally from Salmagundi showed us photos of all the places she and her husband have lived over the years.  I love this post!

As for me, I pondered why we like Autumn so much.  I'd love to know what you think!

These are just a few of my favorites.  Thank you to everyone who joined last week's party!  I'm so grateful for each person who links up each week. If you've been featured, feel free to grab the "I was featured" button (the code is right over in my sidebar).  I'd be so proud if you displayed it!

Now for this week's party!  Grace at Home is a place for you to share anything related to making your home a place of grace. I invite you to link posts about
  • DIY projects
  • decorating
  • recipes
  • hospitality
  • homemaking tips
  • parenting
  • marriage
  • faith
  • self-care
  • soul care
Whatever you do to make your home a place of grace, I'd like to hear about it.  Here's what I ask of you.  Please include the permalink to your post, not your blog's home page.  Please let people know that you've linked up.  No more than three posts per person, please.  And visit at least one of the other party participants--that's what really makes it a party!

Lovely features this week, Richella!
To answer that autumn question. I didn't reply when I first read the post....but I will now. I think we do because when fall comes, it's like a new beginning. Our world changes, the pace changes, and for many of us we set new goals for the final stretch of the year. Almost like we do in January....only more purposeful and realistic.
Those of us who are blessed to live where the leaves change color...I think there is a certain refreshment in that as so much as died in the heat of August. But...at the same time...I confess that there is an underlying dread come fall that diminishes the joy of the season. Unlike spring where we look forward to summer....in fall week anticipate winter and snow and cold and well.... [sigh]
I guess I'd just better live in the moment. Yes?
Hope your week is blessed in every way and that your son continues to make a wonderful recovery.
[hugs]

Thanks for hosting Richella! Loving Autumn because for me, it seems like life slows down a little bit after summer.... it's dark outside by supper time so the kids have to play inside...there's time for board games by the fireplace and evenings spent baking with Daddy :) Hope your weekend is wonderful :)

Hi Richella - I read your post about why people like Autumn so much and I didn't comment earlier because it isn't my favorite season. I do like the end to all of the yard work that comes with Spring and Summer but the season itself always make me feel a bit sad that summer is over so quickly. Maybe that comes from living in the Pacific NW for so long and knowing that with Fall comes months of clouds and rain most years. I'm hoping that now that we've moved to SC I will learn to embrace and fully enjoy the season. I may need some counseling to get there though! LOL!
Thanks for being such a great hostess Richella and for always giving us something to think about.
Blessings to you dear lady,
Patti

Thanks so much for featuring my Table Setting for Many Guests! I'm honoured to be chosen out of so many fab links! Thanks also for hosting this great party! As someone who decorates our home for each season, I love living where there are 4 distinct seasons and while fall is great, I love winter/Christmas!
