Grace at Home No. 121

Welcome, friends!

I'm so glad you're here for our weekly Grace at Home party.  We are dependent on God's grace for everything in our lives, and I love that once a week we celebrate the ways we make our homes a reflection of that grace.

This week I don't have any features to share; instead, I have a prayer request.

This is my 21-year-old son, Preston.

Preston is seriously ill and is in the hospital.  Would you all please pray for him?  Long-time readers will know that Preston has a complicated health history, and this latest chapter has been extremely difficult for him.  I'd truly appreciate your prayers for his healing.

And now for this week's Grace at Home party!  Grace at Home is a place for you to share anything related to making your home a place of grace. I invite you to link posts about

  • DIY projects
  • decorating
  • recipes
  • hospitality
  • homemaking tips
  • parenting
  • marriage
  • faith
  • self-care
  • soul care
Whatever you do to make your home a place of grace, I'd like to hear about it.  Here's what I ask of you.  Please include the permalink to your post, not your blog's home page.  Please let people know that you've linked up.  No more than three posts per person, please.  And visit at least one of the other party participants--that's what really makes it a party!

Richella....I saw your post on Facebook last night and started to pray for Preston. Trusting with you for God's hand of healing and restoration. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 [hugs]

Richella, when I saw your request for Preston on facebook, I stopped and prayed for him. I am not aware of his health history but know that we serve an amazing God who can heal under any circumstances. I pray that your precious son will soon be feeling better and able to return home. May the Lord also grant you and your family a peace that passes ALL understanding. Bless you, sweet friend.

Prayers for Preston and your family - for peace, comfort and healing. This is a scripture that comforted me a few years ago when going through some health issues: "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." Isaiah 43:2

Bless your dear heart! I am so sorry to hear of Preston's illness. I was thinking of Jesus and how He never found a case too difficult, and it didn't matter to Him how long someone had been ill or to what severity their illness had escalated. Jesus Christ is still the same today. He suffered that horrible scourging on His way to Calvary for the specific purpose of the healing of our bodies. Those stripes were for Preston! I am believing GOD to heal Preston, to pull him through this, to give him a wonderful testimony to share with the world, and to give you the peace and confirmation that Preston is going to be okay. God has a plan in this, and even though it is beyond difficult to get through, He is walking with you. He will never leave your side....Jesus did not walk out of that fiery furnace until the three Hebrew children walked out. He stayed in there with them for the duration, and He will do the same for you, my friend. My heart goes out to you so much, and I am praying for you. Much love, Cheryl
