Goose Creek Candle Co. Giveaway

Yesterday I posted my prized recipe for the world's best pumpkin bread.  Oh, how good the house smells when it's baking!

I can't be baking pumpkin bread every minute, yet I still like for my house to smell good.  One of my favorite ways to fill my house with fragrance is by lighting scented candles.  I must tell you, though: I'm picky about candles.  Honestly, most of the candles I've tried through the years have been big disappointments to me.  I want a candle that smells good but not too strong, does not smell too "perfumy," burns evenly for a long time, and doesn't produce too much smoke.  I'd like for it to look nice, too.  No ugly containers, thank you very much.  And I don't want the scent of the candle to give me a headache.  I told you I was picky!

I'd heard good things about Goose Creek Candle Co., and when they contacted me about hosting a giveaway of one of their products, I was eager to try their candles--but I was unsure whether I'd actually like the product.  Still, I had heard enough praises to be willing to give them a try myself.

Y'all.  These candles are just lovely.  First of all, look at how nice this candle looks just sitting on my countertop.  No need to hide these away!

They burn cleanly and evenly.  I like big jar candles, but too often I've ended up with a lot of wax around the perimeter of the jar and a tunnel right down the middle.  I'm not sure how the Goose Creek candle makers bring this about, but the wax of these candles melts evenly all across the top.  I've burned my samples for hours, and you can barely tell I've used them at all!

And most important of all, these candles smell heavenly.  They're heavily scented, but they don't smell "perfumy."  The scents are more subtle, more natural-smelling.  And they don't give me a headache!

I tried the Orange Clove scent and the Whipped Pumpkin Latte candles; they're both gorgeous candles and smell great. The Whipped Pumpkin Latte one smells so good that I think I'd like to try others that have similar fallish names--Mulled Cider or Apple Bourbon, maybe?

I'm betting you'd like to try one of these beautiful candles for yourself. And you're in luck, because Goose Creek is giving away a 16-ounce American Heirloom jar candle to one of you!  To enter, simply visit Goose Creek Candle's website (click here), then leave a comment tell me what scent you'd most like to try.  Anyone can leave a comment simply by clicking on the word "Comments" below and following the prompts.  (If you're reading this in an email or a reader, you'll need to click over to my blog to leave a comment.)  I'll choose a winner on Monday, September 24.

If you'd like to go ahead and place an order with Goose Creek, use Coupon Code #1050 for 25% off your entire order now through September 30.

Visit Goose Creek Candle Co. today and choose something you'd like to try!

The kind folks at Goose Creek Candle Co. provided me with candles to sample, but I received no other compensation for this post, nor was I obligated in any way to provide a positive review.  Opinions stated here are 100% mine.

I am like you, I don't like overpowering candle scents. I'd like the Autumn Breeze (I think that is right, Autumn something anyway.)
Enjoy your blog.

I get migraines from strong smelling candles or from ones that have a floral scent. So I like a "gentle" scent. I think the Vanilla Cashmere sounds heavenly!

Oh my, they have some great ones to pick from :) I think I'd like to try the gingerbread crisp - that sounds like it would smell pretty good! I've had trouble with stronger scents giving me headaches, too - so these sound wonderful.

I'm super picky about candles too. For years I used one popular brand and had black smoke stains on my ceiling. I never knew it came from the wicks!

I have a new favorite now but would love to try Goose Creek to see if I like them too.

Oh, how I love fall candles....

Whipped Pumpkin Latte sounds delicious! Or... Spiced Gourmet? Yum.

I'd love the Apples and Spice candle from the American Heirloom Collection. I'm imagining the scent would remind me of baked apples with cinnamon.

Blessings,

Orange Clove definitely! We have to rely on scents here in Texas because we don't really have a change of seasons outside! Love your blog and the pics of your gorgeous home inspire me to do things around mine! I made a roman shade for my kitchen window (which I would never have thought of if you hadn't shared yours) and it really makes the room look finished. Thanks!

Sweet Richella! I've missed your posts! I have GOT to get back to blogging!

But as for the candles, I'd LOVE to try the Maple Butter, but I don't think they make it in that style. Maybe the Maple Toddy. Can you tell we like Maple? :) That would make the guys happy, but I'd love White Linen for myself.
