Running at top speed

Here's part of what's going on this week at our house:

  • Jack's back at work after his surgery (he's doing well, thank God!)
  • Final exams for Lee
  • 8th grade graduation for Lee
  • Senior banquet for Preston
  • Preston's high school graduation
  • Preston's graduation open house
I didn't realize I could run so fast. If you were to draw a cartoon of me right now, I'd just be a blur. Heaven help me!

Despite the craziness, though, I have to smile:

My hydrangeas are in bloom. God is good.

So what's going on at your house?

  1. Richella, it sounds like me and you are running the same race. I know you are one proud mama. Catie's graduation is in 3 weeks. It's hard to believe that it's just about time for that. Congrats to your boys. Take some time to sit down, have some tea, and enjoy those hydrangeas! Carla

  3. Richella,

Sounds like there is excitement around every corner in your home! I am glad to hear that Jack is doing well and that your boys are moving right along in school :-)

In my household we have just celebrated my oldest daughter, Amber's, graduation, my 4 year old, Zeke's, preschool graduation, and are finishing up the first year of middle school for my tweener, Camryn. Needless to say, the past two weeks have been filled with nonstop action here as well! Did I mention that I also began summer semester courses for my degree??? Yikes! So, I know your exhaustion all too well... but, what a fulfilling exhaustion it is!

Thank you for sharing your picture of happiness and tranquility :-)

We, too, are crazy busy with end of the year stuff. I didn't realize Preston was graduating. Good for him. I know that's such a busy exciting time. Sit back and enjoy it all. Okay, TRY to sit back and enjoy it all!

Your hydrangeas are beautiful, by the way!

  10. Girl, you ARE going ninety to nothin'! Maybe you'll be able to take it easy next week. : ) I know with your boys facing milestones this week it's hard on the ol' emotions (at least it would be for me! Ha!), so I will pray that the Lord brings you to mind often this week. : )

  11. Whats going on at my house? Well, since you asked....
My husband took a new position which requires us to move and he has been gone over 3 months so far. My 7 yr old son and I are both at our wits end with being brave in his absence and also awaiting his return, which comes this Friday! Our creek has been over its banks for more than a month now and the pump under the house broke right in the middle of it all. We are thankful that no water has found its way into the house but our poor little farm animals have only 1 high spot to stand on to try and keep their hooves dry. I am praying for some sun. I'll bet my critters are too.
Oh, and did I mention that my husband bought a house? Not such a bad thing because of the move, but...because of the move, I haven't seen it yet!! The anxiety is killing me. Oh yes, he sent pictures, but they are manly pictures (know what I mean?) and give me no real sense of what things are there or where they're located. Its how I found your blog in the first place, searching for decorating ideas. I've got a sure-fired feeling I'm going to need lots of those.
As for this weeks activities we still have to get through Outdoor School, the end of Little League season, a Going Away party, a swimming party on the last day of school, and the total take down of the house since the movers arrive next week.
And that's whats going on at my house; since you asked. ;)
