Too busy?

It's so easy for me to get too busy. Too busy doing what's urgent to focus on what's important. Such has been my week. So many little jobs to do. So many details. So many i's to dot and t's to cross.

But it's Thanksgiving week. And I have so much to be thankful for. To be honest, I think I'm too busy NOT to be thankful. I'm too busy NOT to pray.

Maybe you are, too. Join me:

Come, ye thankful people, come.
Raise the song of harvest home!
All is safely gathered in
Ere the winter storms begin.
God, our Maker, doth provide
For our wants to be supplied:
Come to God's own temple, come,
Raise the song of harvest home!

We ourselves are God's own field,
Fruit unto His praise to yield,
Wheat and tares together sown,
Unto joy or sorrow grown.
First the blade, and then the ear,
Then the full corn shall appear:
Lord of harvest, grant that we
Wholesome grain and pure may be.

Even so, Lord, quickly come
To Thy final harvest home.
Gather Thou Thy people in,
Free from sorrow, free from sin.
There, forever purified,
In Thy presence to abide,
Come with all Thine angels, come
Raise the glorious harvest home.

I am thankful for you.

It's funny that God, probably has a much bigger to do list than I, and yet He always has time for me. I love posts that make me slow down and little. I like how he gently nudges my mind back to Him. Thank you for sharing this. Blessings on you. =O)
